ARCANA NATURALIS

An Ethnobotanical Archive

This installation presents a curated archive of entheogenic knowledge, contained within twelve vessels from Jingdezhen, the ancient capital of Chinese porcelain. For millennia, cultures across the globe have sought communion with the spiritual world through sacred flora. This pharmacy does not hold medicines for the body, but rather, vessels for the voyage of the mind. Each jar, adorned with its plant's name in gold, represents a key to an altered state of consciousness — a tradition as old as human curiosity itself. The work invites contemplation on the deep, enduring, and universal human desire to map the territories of the mind.
